Agee Has been putting his vinyl dexterity to good use since early 1994. Starting by entertaining crowds at college and house parties to masses who were relatively new to the art of djing.
An upbringing of jazz, easy listening and pop graduated to pretty much anything. Hip hop, Funk, Disco, Drum and Bass, Breaks and House. All of which have been influential and play a big part in his sets.
His ideology behind his sets isn’t all Hip Hop. Turntabilist tricks, mix’n’blends, spin backs, beat chops, scratches and fades are all integral parts.
With a music catalogue that’s worthy of a record store’s at hand his knowledge of not just music artists but structure to sound help him build sets or bring atmospheric fusion to someone else’s.
A dj life can be one of solitude, but Agee is a strong contender in team work as well. 2003 saw him with fellow team member; Dj Komplete reach 4th place in that years DMC UK team finals.
Since early 2005 he has been asked to join UK rap trio, The Manoz. Adding his knowledge and thought to tracks and to be their dj laying down the cuts when playing live. The same year has also seen him join up with breaks/electronica fusion; Kneecapped. With more tasks of cutting and scratching.
So you will have read that although a Hip Hop head at heart, Agee is a strong contender in not only the rap world but also in the world of Breaks, Electronica, Funk, Disco, Drum and Bass, Soul and Jazz.
His sets are always new exciting and contain elements of surprise. An all out Hip Hop set, a Funk set, Soul or D+B, which ever you get the chance to see you will not be disappointed. Anything he puts his name to he always puts 100 percent.
